Steph Curry on Warriors’ offseason plans: “Things are fluid, let’s put it that way”

Golden State Warriors will seek to improve their roster during the offseason after getting bounced by the Memphis Grizzlies in the play-in tournament.

On Thursday, Steph Curry was asked about the team’s offseason plans that have been filled with trade rumors and free-agent targets in an effort to make the Warriors a contenting team again.

(via Anthony Slater of the Athletic):

“I know we’re staying patient. I’ve talked to Bob, I’ve talked to Joe, I’ve talked to Coach Kerr over the last couple weeks. Things are fluid, let’s put it that way.”

The first change for the Warriors next season will be the return of Klay Thompson after two injury-riddled seasons. At the same time, the ‘Dubs’ will have to make a decision on Kelly Oubre Jr. future as he will be an unrestricted free agent.

Moreover, several reports suggest that the team will seek to create a trade package for players like Pascal Siakam and Kevin Love.

The Warriors are hoping to build a team around Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green to win an NBA title the next few seasons, and this offseason seems to be the most crucial to achieve this goal.
