Golden State Warriors will seek to improve their roster around Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson next season. According to Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle, the Warriors could have interest in Kevin Love, if the Cavs decide to buy him out.

Love is not expected to be part of the rebuilding process in Cleveland, and as a result, the two sides could work on a buy out this summer.

“The Warriors have been flirting with the idea of adding Kevin Love to their roster for years, and that courting might turn into a full-court press this month.

There is growing sentiment around the league that Love will negotiate a buyout with Cleveland and sign a veteran-minimum contract with a contender, with one of the options being the Warriors.”

In 2020-21, Love averaged 12.2 points and 7.4 rebounds, his worst number of his career since his rookie season. The Cavaliers are looking to offload Love’s $60 million contract, however a trade seems no plausible due to his remaining two years in his deal.
