Kyle Lowry could reportedly be Miami Heat starting point guard next season

Miami Heat would consider making several changes after their disappointing finish of the 2020-21 season campaign. The Heat could look to upgrade the point guard position with Goran Dragic’s contract coming off the books.

Ethan Skolnik has recently reported that Miami’s interest in making Kyle Lowry the starting point guard for the 2021-22 season remains strong.

To get back to Kyle Lowry, the interest is still strong, nothing has changed there. I still believe that the most likely scenario for the Miami Heat this offseason is Kyle Lowry is their new point guard next season… If you were to ask me to put money on it right now, that’s still where I’d go with it.

The Toronto legend had as strong season despite the Raptors missing the playoffs. He averaged 17.2 points on 43 percent shooting from the field, while he made 39 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc.

Lowry was also a tremendous initiator as he dished 7.3 assists per contest, while he registered 5.3 rebounds and one steal in 46 games this season.

Lowry, a free agent this offseason, will definitely draw huge interest as several teams could look to upgrade their starting point guard position. It looks like the Miami Heat will be among those teams.
