Bayern’s Paul Zipser successfully underwent surgery for a brain hemorrhage

Bayern Munich forward Paul Zipser underwent emergency surgery for a brain hemorrhage in the past days, per Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.

According to Eurohoops, the veteran forward experienced dizziness near the end of the German League semifinal series against MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg.

The examination revealed a brain hemorrhage that required emergency surgery, which took place last Wednesday.

“Paul is doing well under all circumstances, we don’t want to say anything more about this,” said Munich media director Andreas Burkert: “We also ask the public for understanding that we will respect the privacy of Paul and his family in the near future.”
