Dennis Schroder raised questions about his future with the Los Angeles Lakers with an update of his social media profile. The 27-year-old point guard deleted “PG for the Los Angeles Lakers” from his bio ahead of a do-or-die Game 6 against the Phoenix Suns as spotted by The Laker Files on Twitter.
He received criticism after going scoreless in a heavy loss in Game 5. Schroder is in a final year of his contract and is set to become an unrestricted free agent in summer. Interestingly, he has previously rejected a $84 million contract offer from the Lakers.
Schroder averaged 15.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game for the defending NBA champions during the regular season. His numbers were better in the playoffs until a disappointing Game 5 which lowered his averages to 13.2 points, 3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
