Ja Morant, Grizzlies stun the Warriors to advance to the playoffs

Ja Morant made a stellar performance and helped the Memphis Grizzlies stun the Golden State Warriors in the play-in finale (117-112).

Morant had 35 points (14/29 shooting, 5/10 from beyond the arc), six rebounds, six assists and four steals, leading the Grizzlies past the Warriors in an overtime thriller.

On the other hand, Stephen Curry led all scorers with 39 points and six three-pointers, but Golden State got eliminated from the postseason for a second straight year.

Memphis led for the majority of the night, but the Warriors closed the game on a 2-11 run to tie game and force an overtime (99-99). In the extra period, the visitors stood tall, Morant scored some crucial points and secured Memphis’ spot in the postseason.

Morant and the Grizzlies will now play the top-seeded Utah Jazz, with Game 1 taking place on Sunday.
