TV persona Stephen A. Smith called out the Los Angeles Clippers for tanking the final two games of the season as they wanted to avoid a potential first round matchup vs. the Lakers.
The Clippers lost two consecutive games against two bottom feeders (Rockets, Thunder) having a shot to claim the third seed.
On the other hand, the Lakers will have to go through the Warriors in the play-in tournament to secure the sixth seed and start the first round of the postseason vs. the Phoenix Suns.
