The two Los Angeles teams could face each other in the first round of the playoffs if the Lakers manage to finish sixth and the Clippers take the third place in the Western Conference.
According to sports analyst Skip Bayless, the Clippers would absolutely like a first round matchup with the Lakers. The co-host of UNDISPUTED laid out his argument on Twitter.
“The Clippers would LOVE to play the gimpy, limpy Lakers in the 1st rd w LeAnkle and AD (Always Damaged) iffy. Tonight at Houston they needed to 1) get Ibaka back in the flow (15 & 7 in just 17 minutes!) and 2) get Rondo some run (13 assists!). Now they are rested, ready, whole,” Bayless tweeted.
