Olimpia Milano withheld FC Bayern Munich and claimed an 80-69 win at Mediolanum Forum. Etorre Messina’s team is one win away from the Final Four, which will take place in Cologne, Germany.

Milano built a 22-point advantage (40-18) and took a 47-29 lead at halftime, thanks to Kevin Punter’s scoring presence. Bayern tried to get back to the game in the third quarter (58-50 at 29′), but their comeback fell short.

Kevin Punter was the leading scorer for the winning side with 20 points, while Sergio Rodriguez and Shavon Shields followed him with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Bayern was evidently affected by the fact that they lost the first game of the series at the buzzer having a tough shooting night during the first half. Wade Baldwin led Andrea Trinchieri’s team with 23 points, six assists and six rebounds.
