Former Dutch NBA player explains why he finds today’s game difficult to watch

Former Dutch NBA center Geert Hammink finds it hard to watch today’s game due it becoming too one dimensional for his taste. According to him, the way the game is played today it leaves out big guys.

“I think it becomes one dimensional right now,” Hammink said on the newest episode of 1-ON-1 with Basketball Network. “The Portland Trailblazers shot 55 threes last night, 55 threes as opposed to 35 twos and that just becomes difficult to watch. And then of the 35 twos, I didn’t watch the game, but I imagine there were some long two’s as well.”

“I think if you adjust some rules back to where there’s a two dimensional attack possible at least, to where post play and big guys are rewarded, or where it becomes more efficient to go to big guys in the post — the game becomes more attractive in the long-run.”
