A mini docuseries centering on FC Barcelona superstar Pau Gasol is going to be released some time in fall of 2021, according to Variety.com.
The series chronicles Gasol’s career as he winds out his professional basketball life, while he’s going through the process of an effort to recover from the injury that had kept him sidelined since March 2019.
As Variety reports:
“The series will show how an elite athlete says goodbye to the game they know and love, battling through the physical scars, emotional challenges, personal legacy, as well as new family commitments.”
Gasol recently signed a deal with Spanish and EuroLeague powerhouse FC Barcelona. The legendary former Lakers’ big is expected to participate in the Tokyo Olympic Games this summer, if he’s healthy.
Gasol will probably make his debut for the Catalans this week either in the upcoming EuroLeague game vs. Bayern Munich or on Sunday’s Clasico vs. Real Madrid.
