Markieff Morris re-united with Andre Drummond on the Los Angeles Lakers after having played together previously on the Detroit Pistons. According to Drummond, Morris and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope made his adjustment to the new team very easy.

The 27-year-old center made his debut as a Laker against the Milwaukee Bucks. Though his debut was cut short due to a toe injury. After the game Morris was asked what he thought about Drummond’s first game with the reigning NBA champions.

“I’ve seen him fit well, man,” he said. “He hasn’t played in a while so he really doesn’t have his legs under him. I’ve broken a toenail before so I know the feeling that he’s going through. I like the view we got so far a couple of quarters he played. He’s going to keep getting better.”

“We won’t see the best of him probably like another 10-15 games. Anyway, he hasn’t played. No matter how much you work out, if you don’t actually play in the NBA game, it won’t be the same. We excited, man. We know that the foot won’t hold him out for a long time. We’re just preparing for keep winning games and preparing for when we fully healthy.”
