Lonzo Ball remained with the New Orleans Pelicans through the trade deadline and will finish the season with Stan Van Gundy’s team.

Ball talked on him staying in New Orleans even though many reports suggested otherwise prior to the trade deadline. The UCLA product admitted he’s happy right where he’s at.

(via Bleacher Report):

“I’m happy to be here. … In the end, I didn’t get traded and I’m where I want to be,” Ball told reporters. “What happened was supposed to happen, and I’m where I’m supposed to be at.”

Ball has an excellent season with the Pelican, and he will be a free agent in the coming summer. The promising guard is averaging 14.2 points, 5.6 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game this season.
