Two Raptors players in health and safety protocols; Gary Trent Jr., Rodney Hood available after trade

Toronto Raptors’ DeAndre’ Bembry and Paul Watson are out for tonight’s game against the Phoenix Suns due to health and safety protocols, the team announced.

However, Gary Trent Jr. and Rodney Hood, who the Raptors received from the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Norman Powell at the trade deadline, are with the team and expected to be available to play.

The Raptors also previously had five players and six coaches miss time due to the league’s health and safety protocols, including key players like Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby.

Bembry, 26, is averaging 4.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in 17.1 minutes per game in 32 games.

Watson, 26, is only averaging 3.0 points and 1.5 rebounds in 9.8 minutes per game in 24 games, but has been in the rotation lately, playing at least 20 minutes in six of his last eight games.
