Jazz signing veteran Ersan Ilyasova

Free agent forward Ersan Ilyasova is signing a deal with the Utah Jazz for the rest of the season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Ilyasova is currently completing COVID-19 testing protocol before he’s cleared to sign his deal.

The 33-year-old has not played in the NBA this season after playing 63 games last season for the Milwaukee Bucks, averaging 6.6 points and 4.8 rebounds per game in 15.7 minutes per game.

Ilyasova has played in 808 regular season NBA games in his career and has shot 44.4 percent from the field and 36.5 percent from three-point.

While it’s not clear what Ilyasova’s role will be going forward, he will have the ability to provide some extra shooting and rebounding and give the Jazz more depth at forward along with Bojan Bogdanovic and Georges Niang.

After signing Ilyasova, the Jazz will still have one open roster spot on their 15-man roster.
