Mike Conley would like to stay with the Utah Jazz as the veteran guard stated on his interview to Tony Jones of The Athletic, where he discussed him becoming a free agent.

Conley will be an unrestricted free agent next summer. He’s in the last year of his $154M contract he signed back in 2016 with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Conley is amidst one of his best season of his career propelling the Jazz to the best record in the NBA so far. The veteran guard would prefer to stay in Utah for more season.

“Utah’s got me,” Conley said. “I was talking about this to my wife recently. We love it here. I don’t think I can go anywhere else that plays the way we play. We’ll see this offseason, because when that time comes there will definitely be a lot of chatter.

“But, from where I sit right now, this team is so unique, in the way we play. And everyone has bought into what we want to do on both ends of the floor.”

Conley averages 16.4 points per game shooting a career-high 41.2-percent from deep and a plus/minus +11.2, which is also a career best.
