The Phoenix Suns could not close the game against the Denver Nuggets on Friday as they suffered their sixth loss of the season.

Phoenix finished the contest without superstar Devin Booker, who left the game with 1:54 left in overtime with what appeared to be a left leg injury.

The Suns’ head coach offered an update on Booker’s injury situation after Friday’s overtime loss claiming he will probably be unavailable for Saturday’s matchup against the Nuggets in the second of a back-to-back.

“I know it was a hamstring-type of injury,” the Suns coach said. Booker landed awkwardly in a contested rebound with Denver’s swingman Will Barton.

Booker had 31 points, five rebounds and five assists before exiting the game due to injury. He averages 22.9 points, 4.1 assists and 3.9 rebounds in 35.7 minutes per contest this season.

After their loss on Friday, the Suns are set to face the Nuggets again on Saturday. Booker is still on the active list for his team, however it seems that he will not be playing Saturday.
