James Harden starts the new chapter of his career in style, putting up a triple-double in the Brooklyn Nets win over the Orlando Magic.

The newly acquired guard scored 32 points, pulled in 14 rebounds and dished out 12 assists.

In addition to the triple-double, Harden finished with four steals. However, this was overshadowed by his nine turnovers throughout the four quarters.

Brooklyn won the game by seven points, in the 122-115 victory over the Magic on Saturday evening.

Harden and Kevin Durant were the key factors for the Nets tonight and as a result of this, combined for 74 points.

He was acquired by the Nets in a blockbuster trade on January 15, 2021, where Brooklyn sent Caris LeVert and more in the opposite direction.

However, it wasn’t just Kevin Durant and James Harden who pushed the Nets to victory. Both Jeff Green and Joe Harris reached double figures to help push the New York side over the finish line.

Harris shot four for nine from behind the arc and added five more points, finishing on 17. Whilst Green added 10 of his own, playing against his former franchise.

Nikola Vucevic was once again the key factor for a lackluster looking Orlando side, scoring a season-high 34 points and pulling in 10 boards, to finish with a double-double of his own.

Terrence Ross battled through a tough start and lit up in the fourth quarter and scored 23 points, despite shooting only 30% from the three-point line.

The Brooklyn Nets record improves to 8-6, extending their win streak to three wins. They will now prepare for a tough matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday.

Orlando will now prepare to end an ever-growing five-game losing streak in their matchup against the Knicks tomorrow.
