The NBA is experiencing a unique season in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Many players are not happy with the certain conditions they are playing under to keep the season rolling.

The Portland Trail Blazers’ superstar Damian Lillard reflected on the current season situation. Lillard revealed he feels trapped with all these regulations in place.

“I feel like I’m living my life in a box, I’ll go to practice, I go back home. I don’t go anywhere else. I can’t go to dinner, go to a movie or hang out with my family cause my family members they have lives. I live on my phone cause I can’t interact with people in person basically.”

After a recent spike in positive cases, the NBA decided to implement tightened rules regarding the health and safety protocols.

Among the several new guidelines, players and staff will need to quarantine at home or hotel, when they do not practice or play. The only exceptions are referred to essential activities and working out outside.

Lillard and other NBA players like George Hill expressed their frustration on the NBA’s strict guidelines as the league is gradually postpones games due to contact tracing.
