The Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James liked what he saw from the Chicago Bulls rookie Patrick Williams when the two teams faced off on Friday. The four-time NBA champion saw similarities between the 19-year-old small forward and Kawhi Leonard.

Williams, who was the fourth overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft, was given an assignment to guard James and the latter admitted to having had to adjust. The reason for that is his “Kawhi-type” hands that made LeBron protect the ball more.

“I think he’s going to be an exceptional talent,” James said of Williams, per Rob Schaffer of NBC Sports. “Long arms. He has Kawhi-type hands that I noticed out on the floor, so I knew I couldn’t play with the ball much. And you could tell that he’s just laser sharp on trying to get better and better.”
