The head coach of Real Madrid Pablo Laso shared his thoughts on the addition of big man Alex Tyus to the roster.
Laso said Tyus is a player that Real Madrid needed as the backup of starting center Walter Tavares.
“I didn’t know he was transferred already. I think Tyus is a guy that has a lot of experience in EuroLeague, and it’s probably a player we needed from the beginning of the season because we’re gonna kill Tavares,” coach Laso told reporters after the road win over Anadolu Efes (65-73), via Eurohoops.net.
Galatasaray also confirmed that Tyus is leaving the team to join Real Madrid, as Emiliano Carchia of Sportando reports.
