The Los Angeles Lakers lost their second game of the season as they fell to the Portland Trail Blazers 107-115. The defending NBA champions are now 2-2.

After the game, the Lakers’ guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who finished the game with 14 points, talked about the defeat.

“What Portland did, they turned up their intensity, the pressure. They forced turnover for us. They made shots on the other end,” he said.

KCP also talked about Gary Trent Jr. coming off the bench for Portland and dropping 28 points. “Our game plan was coming out for CJ [McCollum] and Dame [Lillard]. They were going to get all the shots up. But Gary Trent came in, he was on tonight. I don’t even think he missed a three. We can’t let a third guy get 25-30 knowing that Dame and CJ are going to do that as well,” Caldwell-Pope said.
