Award-winning journalist, TV host, and author Skip Bayless reacts to report that the Los Angeles Clippers could trade combo guard Lou Williams, who is entering his final year of an $8 million contract, for a fresh start with culture:

“Lou Williams has seen his best days in this league. I love him, but he has become in their eyes expendable. He didn’t want to be in the Bubble and he played like it in the playoff run.”

“The Magic City incident was the beginning of the end for Lou as a Clipper. He looked like he wasn’t buying into whatever the Clippers were selling.”

Williams averaged 18.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game for the Clippers during the 2019-20 regular season. The three-time Sixth Man of the Year shot 41.8 percent from the field, 35.2 percent from deep, and 86.1 percent from the free-throw line.
