Rajon Rondo is not coming back to the Los Angeles Lakers after winning his second NBA championship last season. According to sports analyst Nick Wright, the 34-year-old point guard is most likely going to join the Atlanta Hawks.
“Rondo is gone almost assuredly to Atlanta,” Wright claimed on First Things First. The two-time NBA champion was also linked with the Lakers’ city rivals the Clippers, but it appears he is moving to the East.
Last season, Rondo averaged 7.1 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists per game during regular season. His stats improved during the playoffs to 8.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game.
