Buddy Hield is reportedly not happy in Sacramento, since he got benched last season with the Kings choosing to close the games with Bogdan Bogdanovic in the shooting guard position.

Despite many rumors suggesting that the franchise is looking to offload Hield’s four-year $94 million contract, the Kings are playing the waiting game.

According to Sam Deveney of Forbes, Sacramento is not actively shopping Hield to other NBA teams yet, per an anonymous NBA executive.

“I think it makes a lot of sense, them trying to move him, start with a clean slate, they were better without him in the starting five, all of that,” one general manager said. “The logic is there. But there does not seem to be a lot of action there, not yet at least.

“It is not something where they seem to be shopping him very actively. Maybe it would be better to wait, to see how the season starts, but I don’t get the sense that they’re out there really laying the groundwork for a deal. They’re just not yet shopping him.”

Hield is disgruntled with the organization the last two seasons, as he didn’t have the best relationship with the FO and his head coaches.

The Kings had another disappointing campaign in the 2019/2020 season, as they didn’t make the postseason for the 14th time in a row.

With that being the case, the Kings parted ways with Vlade Divac to bring a new face as the team’s GM with Monte McNair being named the new head of basketball operations.
