The Dallas Mavericks came very close to signing Danilo Gallinari during February’s trade deadline, according to RealGM.

However, the deal was not successful, because Gallinari said he would not sign an extension and would become a free agent.

“The Dallas Mavericks had a trade in place with the Oklahoma City Thunder at the trade deadline for Danilo Gallinari, but the deal fell through when he signaled he would test free agency and not agree to an extension,” RealGM reports.

Gallinari finished the season with the Oklahoma City Thunder and is now expected to test free agency.
