Jimmy Butler becomes the third player to have a 40-point triple-double in NBA Finals’ history

Jimmy Butler was in beast mode during Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Butler took the court and attacked relentlessly finishing the contest with 40 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds. He also had two blocks and two steals to lead the Heat to their first win in a Finals game since 2014.

The veteran superstar became the third player in NBA Finals’ history to record a 40-point triple-double joining LeBron James and Jerry West.

With the Heat being down 2-0, Game 3 of the Finals became one of the most important games of the series with Jimmy Butler making one of the greatest performances we’ve ever seen in a Finals’ game.

Game 4 of the series between the Lakers and the Heat will take place on Tuesday.
