Anthony Davis was unstoppable in Game 1 of the 2020 NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat.

Davis led the Lakers to a blowout win (98-116) by scoring 34 points in his NBA Finals’ debut. That’s tied for the third-most points scored in an NBA Finals debut in Lakers’ franchise history, behind only Shaquille O’Neal (43 in 2000) and George Mikan (42 in 1949).

Elgin Baylor also had 34 back in 1959. Davis took over in Game 1 of the series and controlled the paint at both ends of the floor.

He also added nine rebounds and 5 assists shooting 52 percent from the field and 50 percent from beyond the arc.
