An anonymous NBA All-Star believes that Giannis Antetokounmpo shouldn’t win the Defensive Player of the Year award.
The All-Star says Antetokounmpo is not “a lockdown defender who shuts down other stars”, therefore he should not be named Defensive Player of the Year.
Antetokounmpo overcame Anthony Davis and Rudy Gobert to win the award.
The “Greek Freak” received a lot of criticism from former NBA players after not guarding Jimmy Butler in Game 1.
Butler had a career-high 40 points and led the Miami Heat to the 115-104 win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
