After starting this season as a free agent, Carmelo Anthony found a new career stop in Portland. The 36-year-old veteran found his role with the Blazers and became one of the key players on the team.

Portland managed to qualify for the playoffs and even win Game 1 against the Lakers. Without Damian Lillard, the Blazers were unable to extend the series in Game 5. But, Melo did his best to give his team a chance as he finished the game with 27 points.

“I pray that it can be Portland. I think I’ve found a home here. At this point in my career, I think that’s the best fit for me,” Anthony said post game when speaking about the next season, per Sean Highkin of Bleacher Report.

“Whenever you find a situation that’s comfortable and allows you to be who you are, you want to try to stay in that situation.”
