Marcus Morris followed up on his tweet and again denied that he had intentionally stepped on Luka Doncic’s ankle in Game 5. The Mavericks young star was clearly not happy with the incident, saying he hoped it wasn’t intentional.

According to Morris, it was an accident. “”I hope he’s okay, I apologized right when it happened. Mistakes happen. I’m a man with kids watching. One thing I’m not, is a dirty player,” he said, per Farbod Esnaashari of Sports Illustrated.

“I play this game with a level of respect for myself and other players. To think I would try to injure somebody is crazy to me. 10 years going against the best. I stand on morals and hard work. I compete and leave it out there every game,” Morris tweeted after the game.
