The Philippines (ranked #38 by FIBA) finished 24th in the FIBA World Cup on their home soil after failing to advance from the first group phase. Despite this, Gilas Pilipinas will have participate in FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament and will have a chance to earn a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

It seems that the national team has commitment from the star Jordan Clarkson for the future. Still, it will be a tough task to qualify for the Olympics.
