So, we have 3 games a total fifty-fifty. Real Madrid against Maccabi Tel Aviv, Partizan against Unicaja Malaga and Montepaschi Siena against CSKA Moscow. My presentiment I trust... <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
About Oly now. A 45-55 game for the greek side, just because there are some players that can really do the difference in their good (still looking for one though), like Teo, Vujcic, Greer etc. Otherwise, Prokom is by far a better team (Oly is not a basketball team actually, maybe a... volleyball one ?). Giannakis slow and the well-known "patience" tempo is just not the ONE for this roster. I cannot imagine a team, having players like Papaploukas, Pargo, Greer, Childress, Halperin in the same roster, and not trying to "exploit" fast breaks, transition game and of course a little of "run n' gun". Mysteries of the world, what can I say ?
PS. I hope I'm back for good. Happy to be here again guys! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
PS2. Wow, the forum is more Greek-y! I like it this way. Green makes me sick (no offense to anyone)... <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

Hey, welcome back. Stick around, you'll like it.
As for Prokom don't be so sure about them being a 'team'. It's 3-4 Americans doing their show <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crazy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
Last season Olympiacos managed to lose to VD Spiegel and Gurovic. Can they do the same against Q and Burke?

The plane which took Olympiacos team to Poland could not land in Gdanks (near Sopot) due to heavy snow fall and instead landed in Poznan in order to wait for the snow fall to stop and fly back to Gdansk.
A bus ride was ruled out as the distance is over 300kms.
On another note now, interesting game tomorrow in OAKA as 3 PAO legends return to the place where they won glory. Dejan Bodiroga, Nando Gentile and Sani Becirovic. Will be one hell of a night.

Asseco Prokom 68-93 Olympiacos
Tau Ceramica 108-90 AJ Milano
Partizan 60-59 Unicaja
Montepaschi 74-56 CSKA Moscow
Olympiacos beat Prokom in their best Euroleague performance. Vujcic had a nice all around game while Papaloukas led the team from the point. I think this was the largest margin for Olympiacos so far. Still wondering what Prokom is doing in Euroleague. Would be much better watching Zalgiris talents playing now instead.
A great win for Partizan who is doing their best to qualify to the next round. A stupid foul by Unicaja when with 4 seconds to go and the score tied they committed a foul which sent Velckovic to the charity line.
AJ Milano tried to resist for about 15 minutes but once TAU switched to the enxt gear it was game over. Good game by Vidal.
And last but not least, a monster game by Siena who demolished CSKA. Unbelievable defence by Siena. Things might get complicated in the group if Cibona beats Fener Ulker tomorrow.

Siena can be incredible sometimes. They completely controlled the game vs CSKA.
Anyway, I'm 4-0 so far, as is Rivers7 <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

Will Messina regret not accepting the Spain job? <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' /> <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' /> Terrible loss, this isn't CSKA.
Partizan again involved in a 1-point game, but this time they won <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
Just saw it now, the good old Vuj?i? came back at least for one game, great all-around game.

I wouldn't worry about Messina. If there is one job which will not be affected by the economic crisis it's a top Euroleague level basketball coach <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
Team will be lining up in the summer for him.

Indeed. And there are some teams out there that really need a top class coach (the best around actually, after Zotc). <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />
Anyway, Olympiakos won easily Prokom, and that was a surprise for me. Vujcic had a good game, along with Pargo and Printezis (a very stable player). Giannakis stopped that stupid 12 players rotation and from now on, I hope he will concentrate on 8-9 first team players.
What's your opinion guys on Haislip's last foul in the game against Partizan ?

Rivers7, do you have a youtube clip of the foul? I'd be interested to see it.
Anyway, Real completely played well in the 2nd half of their game and are looking more impressive than I thought they were. Maccabi still have a shot at advancing but it'll be very difficult. Looks like the game in Tel-Aviv between Maccabi and Barcelona will be very important, whether because it'll determine the 2nd place team (Maccabi or Barca) or the 1st place team (Barca or Real).
Panathinaikos continue to dominate in the Top 16...they've gone from arguably the most disappointing team to another major competitor.
