Belgrade will soon host F4
#1
Quote:Executive Director of Euroleague Jordi Bertomeu said in Paris that he expected that Belgrade will soon be hosting the final tournament of the competition.

Bartomeu was also discovered that the league office has previously discussed with the authorities of Belgrade and Zagreb, which refused the organization of final four. "We have offered final four to Belgrade and Zagreb, and on both sides have rejected. Zagreb has not shown interest, and in Belgrade we are told that the priority is the Universiade, which is held there, "said Bertomeu.

It can be said that we did not have the right partner. Of course, it is understandable that they then Universiade was a priority. It is a long list of cities that want to organize the annual tournament, which pleases us because it shows how much interest there is for our competition. We have a Belgrade in mind, it is an option, but is now a question of when it will happen. I mean, sooner or later we're going with you, "said Bertomeu.

That would be awesome! Imagine to play F4 in front of the domestic crowd <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' />

Who would dare to play against Partizan then <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' /> <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' /> <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' />

Balgrade seems to be the obvious choice due to various reasons. The arena is also one of the best in Europe. Wouldn't Partizan be under pressure to qualify for the F4? Would that mean larger budget?

Actually, I think we r witnessing the awake of a Serbian club basketball. People around here r starting to recognize things Partizan is doing and year by year, budget will grow, I am sure of that. Next season is what I am afraid of. How many players will stay and what will be expectations from the team... But the year when F4 will be held in Belgrade doesn't concern me at the moment. I think that until then we will have our train on the rail already...

Universiad is second largest multi-competition after the Olympic games. It gathers students from all around the world to compete in various of sports just like the Olympic games. Last year it was held in Belgrade and it was the biggest thing ever organized in capital of Serbia.

Ah that would explain it then <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Serbia loves basketball and I think it would be madness for F4 not be organized regularly (instead of those snot-nosed French cunts) in the country. And anyway, Belgrade is lucky for Greece after winning the Eurobasket there once more!

It would be great, the people of belgrade deserve that, ignore the huge arena, their love to basketball is what makes it a great city to host the F4.

I just hope that if Maccabi will be there partizan won't cuz it's like hell to play with them in there <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />
