I also think that Å aras might retire after all. Well, the clock is ticking.
Both El- Amin or Penn wouldn't be worse than Johnson. Penn is better defender while El-Amin could be one of these important finishers, I would like to see him in Rytas better.
Offical now - El- Amin joined the team, but won't play against Fenerbache tomorrow.

I loved El-Amin at UCONN and followed him throughout his years in Ukraine but I'm baffled as to why he's a better fit than Bojan Popovic? What kind of salary is Popovic looking for?

The answer is very easy: Rytas is not even contacted B. PopoviÄ as they don't want him. The reason is that PopoviÄ couldn't bring that what Rytas needed to get in top 16. That was very obvious in last games of Euroleague's regular season when PopoviÄ couldn't deliver the same numbers as he did at the start of the season and finally V. GineviÄius almost took his place in the team.
IMO, Rytas obviously needed more offensively talented PG, and El- Amin I suppose is even better than Johnson at this point. If he gets in shape, he might be very good option for Rytas.

Pinkney sucks, he played for Hapoel for part of last season before they released him. He loves shooting long range shots for some reason (he isn't very good at them), can't play in the paint and his decision making is nothing to be proud of.
Also, can you elaborate on the Olimpija situation? Thanks!

When his shot is falling he's good. Believe me, don't get too excited yet. Give him a few more games, if he's still putting up big numbers, I'll admit I'm wrong about him.

2 years $4m. Presumably Besiktas understand what they're getting with Iverson, a hot headed player who is going to control the offense. Iverson couldn't cut it in the NBA last year but I'm curious to see how this experiment works in Turkey. If they let him run the show he might have enough left in the tank. My guess is that they'll part ways by Christmas.

Unicaja offering contract for Å aras. But the problem is they want him for only two months (to test him I guess).

Not to test him, but until McIntyre returns from injury. Saras already rejected the offer.

That would be interesting. It was a while when some Lithuanian player played for Barsa. Hopefully, it would not be the same story as with TAU.
