2010/11 season signings and rumours
Sato would be great signing for Oly, but he still have to consider offer from Dallas Mavericks...

Whats the rumors for Erceg/Bjelica trade with Benetton?
Panathinaikos is after two guards, two centers and a SF-PF

One of the two guards could be Saras or both could be new faces. the two centers will probably be Maric and Vouyoukas and the SF-PF is probably going to be Kaimakoglou.

two guards ?

What about Dimitris and Calathes?

I think that one pg is enough for them, maybe they need one SF? Kaimakoglou is Pf.
Saras will wait until every chance to stay in PAO is wasted. PAO needs two guards cause for now Spanoulis, Saras are out and Verginis might be loaned to Aris.

Kaimakoglou can play the SF position as well... anyway it seems that Vouyoukas will be the 1st season transfer. Vouyoukas could opt out of the deal with Maccabi until July 15th, only for PAO, and he is expected to be announced before that, meaning in the next 1-2 days. He will sign a 2-year deal.

I dont know, he is too slow if you ask me. Weight about 115kg... Obradović amoust always plays with three small players, Tepić played on sf last season, also Perperoglu...

I think that Paon need one player on position 2 or 3 with good 3 point %...

Why do they have to buy our best player every year?

I realize that you aren't able to create player by yourself, not just Pao, but entire greece basketball, but this is too much...

btw. how much would Pao pay buy-out for Alex Maric?
They are offering bout 500k right now, but i guess both sides will settle for some 700-750k.

Partizan will not take offer for Maric less than 1 million euros.

I don't think anyone should question my sources again. As I was the first one to say it on here and on Interbasket. Spanoulis was going to sign with Olympiacos. I said it before any media even said it. From now on, those who call me a liar and that I make things up have no leg to stand on.
Exactly as i said. The tax increase is 80%. The tax itself is 45%. I wasn't refering to you in particular, just on the media hype and the confusion. I think i made it pretty clear with my post.
Well technically, it is 80% of the net. Like a 1 million euros salary = 800K euros tax.

Anyway, compared to the ACB for example........in the ACB the tax is 20% on all players that make under 600K euros a year. At 600K euros or more the tax is 40%. It does not increase for salaries higher than 1 million or 2 million.

So compared to the ACB the Greek A1 has way higher taxes to pay.

Actually, Kaimakoglou is more of a SF really. Anyway, that would be an awesome signing for PAO. Kaimakoglou = most underrated player in Europe.

Well, I can tell you that for the most people around me he is very, very quality player. But he is 115kg, he doesnt use his left hand too much, and dont think that he can play SF in Euroleague.

Sill, I think that Pao need one more extra-quality player, something like Rudy, as Stefan mentioned...

True, he's got a very big body. Possibly he might even be 118 kilos. But really to me he's more of a SF. As far as the defense goes, yes that is his problem. Kaimakoglou has one big weakness and that is what he is "tweener" as they say. No real position. "Cornerman" maybe type like Kakiouzis. It's true though that he is not classic 3.

However, to be honest his defense in the post against tall 4s that can post up is far worse than his perimeter D against 3s. Plus on offense he clearly plays like a 3. I stand by that he is a tweener, maybe "cornerman", 3/4 that played in Maroussi as a 4, but really he's more of a 3.

And also in Greece's national team for example he played as 3. Really, I think he is a bit closer to 3.

Let's just say for example compared to another Greek player Printezis. Printezis is also considered a 3/4 and actually can guard either position equally well. Not a tweener like Kaimakoglou. He is great on D at either position.

He looks more like a 3 and weight wise you would think so. However truth be told the guy plays 100% as a PF. He might appear as a SF and can play that way from the perimeter and so forth. But really in truth he is a PF.

Kaimakoglou is the same way but the opposite. He might seem to be a PF, but really he's more a SF in truth. IMO anyway.
Luis Scola, considering two offers from Europe.According to the Greek media, Panathinaikos could be one of them. The Greek club could be also interested in two other NBA players, still under contract: the Spanish guard Rudy Fernández, from the Portland Trail Blazers, and the Argentinian forward Andrés Nocioni.
[Image: 26637_navijanjeee409_blic_markodjurica_f.jpg]
Carlos Cabezas, Paulius Jankunas and Ricky Minard could leave Khimki.

Technically or not in economic theory (and economic reality) taxes are always counted from the gross sum and are deducted from it. They are never added to the net sum. Thus the tax is 45%. If I ask as a freelancer for say 1500 euro, 20% are autimatically deducted from the amount so I get 1300 for example. Now if the Greek market is twisted (which it is) and everybody wants to count their taxes as added to the net amount that's another thing... Doesn't change the fact that the government passed a law that clearly states that the taxes on professional athletes are 45%.

and by definition

Quote:Gross income is commonly defined as the amount of a company's or a person's income before all deductions or any taxpayer’s income

Quote:Net income is the residual income of a firm after adding total revenue and gains and subtracting all expenses and losses for the reporting period

Net income after taxes. Gross before taxes. Taxes come first, are deducted, and then the net is calculated. Not the other way around.

In the ACB taxes vary from region to region. Remember the Mickeal case? He was paying like 15% in Pais Vasco and 45% in Catalonia. The 600k rule though may very well be true, i have no idea.

About Kaimakoglou, one can say he's an SF in a PF's body. In offense he plays as a clear SF imo, but in defense he is better at marking pfs.
