And rebuild again?
Real is chasing Teodosic, Bourousis, Splitter, Kaun, Printezis, Sergio Rodriguez, Rudy Fernandez. They also are trying very hard to get Spanoulis but he should be going to Olympiacos. So yes, they are rebuilding.

Splitter? I thought he was going to be part of the Spurs next year

I wonder where all of this year's players going to end up(real players)

It seems that Llull and Tomic are the only players they have for sure that they want to keep.
Quote:Jonas Vainauskas: Spanoulis to Olympiacos will be a blockbuster

Jonas Vainauskas, GM of Lietuvos Rytas, was interviewed by Krepsinis.net about the plans of his team for the next season. He also revealed that Vassilis Spanoulis wil be the first signing of Olympiacos which will be the biggest news in Europe. According to Vainauskas, it is very likely that Ivkovic will replace Panagiotis Giannakis as a head coach.

Lietuvos Rytas have set a very tough goal for the next season. Lithuanian champions will aim to rewrite the club's history by reaching Euroleague quarter-finals. Vainauskas was even more specific about this goal - the team must win four games in the Top 16 stage.

Jerry Johnson is the only player who was chosen by the new coach Drazen Anzulovic. The rest of new signings were picked by Vainauskas, who in a previews interview revealed that all the decision at the club are made by him and that it won't change until he's in charge.

The big news this week related to Rytas was the interest in Jonas Valanciunas shown by Olympiacos. The Greek giants have not made an official offer yet. However, Jonas Vainauskas spoke to Dusan Ivkovic through his agent. Legendary Serbian coach is extremely interested in bringing Valanciunas to Piraeus once he becomes a head coach.

Though Lietuvos Rytas will not let Valanciunas leave the club this summer regardless of what offer Olympiacos are prepared to make. Vainauskas described Valanciunas as the modern version of Arvydas Sabonis and also added that it would be better for Olympiacos if Valanciunas stays in Vilnius next season and plays 30 minutes per game in Euroleague instead of jumping directly to Greece.

'I'd like to see him [Jonas Valanciunas] playing for The Reds [Olympiacos] his entire career', commented Vainauskas. According to him, Valanciunas should not go to NBA until he's at least 22 years old. He should only go there as an established and not a rising star.

Valanciunas would become the second signing of Olympiacos. The first one is Vassilis Spanoulis from arch rivals Panathinaikos. Rytas GM called this move will overshadow other news this summer. It worth mentioning that Spanoulis recently said that he will try his luck if NBA and if that doesn't go well he will stay in Panathinaikos.

Regarding Messina, I think I've read somewhere that Florentino Perez has trust in him. He said that Messina is not leaving Madrid. On the other hand, the news about Obradovic's intention to leave Panathinaikos might change the situation. Krepsinis.net says that Efes Pilsen want Obradovic too.
wait wait wait,Jeremy Richardson?! he sucks!

and federman can go to hell, this is not a store where he can just decide what ever the F*ck he wants

''1+1 buy 1 israeli get the the second one for free and the final four away from you as possible!! only today!''

we can't have 5 foreigners and 7 Israelis,no one is good enough

Burstein-Fine

Casspi-Fine

Lior-Great

but Halperin? Kadir? Mekel?

doesn't Federman know that Maccabi fans don't want Mekel?! He's as red as he can get!

we need 6 foreigners and 6 Israelis

the Israelis would be-Scheyer,Sharp,Burstein,Pnini,Bluthental,Lior(or Kadir)

the foreigners-Eidson,Fischer,Radljica,Perkins,Saras,Macvan(and send him on a loan for one year),Freeland

that's a great roster,we can't do anything with 5 foreigners
What about McIntyre? Wouldn't he be a good fit there?

I think that the problem with McIntyre and Maccabi is that Maccabi really want to keep Doron Perkins in the team.

and McIntyre is..the same type PG basically.

we need someone that would be able to start the game very responsibly, like Saras, with a more European style of play and them get Perkins of the bench.

if we'll have both Perkins and McIntyre on the team..no matter who you have on the bench you'll always have the same type of PG controlling your game.

so that's why I think that Saras and Perkins would be great instead of McIntyre and Perkins
McIntyre was a really great player but he's lost a step or two. Zisis was better than him in Siena. I don't think McIntyre will be a top level player anymore.

It's really something the way Olympiacos just spends so much money every year but seems to have no plan. Particularly Ivkovic as head coach. Why don't they just get Bartzokas? To me he's one of the two best coaches in Europe and maybe the best.
Stpheon Lasme releaced from MTA.
Efes interests with obradovic seriosly. If obra doesnt agree with pao efes willl offer at least 3 m euro.Efes has contact with erman kunter, kurtiniatis and svetislav pesic.

Inside info...........Obradovic has been given an enormous offer by Real Madrid. They want him to replace Messina.

Real Madrid president said i trust to messina....we willl look
I don't get it

can Efes afford Obradovic? I'm asking because of the whole..sponsor issue
Saras to Maccabi?
I think that right now the only thing that can prevent Saras from playing for Maccabi next year is Blatt.

Blatt is Maccabi's next coach, they had a meeting today, they'll sign a contract in the next 48 hours.

Blatt has to decide whether or not he wants Saras, unless Maccabi's management can force him to accept his arrival..but I think it's pretty obvious since...March of this year that Saras and Maccabi is just a matter of time.
So is the move a financial one, or does Saras want to finish his career at Maccabi?
I doubt it if the move has to do anything with finances, for both sides.

Saras knows that maccabi won't pay him 2M€ a year and each year all the subscriptions that are offered from Maccabi's side are sold

I think that from Maccabi's side it's about gaining back...the support from the Israeli media and people(Because everyone hates Maccabi in israel..unless you're a Maccabi fan)and for Saras it's about coming back to the place where he had the best years of his career and where he's comfortable.
Also looking quite sure that Yannakis will be getting the boot from Olybiakos. Good thing too.

Hopefully he never has anything to do with the A1 HEBA league or the Greek National Team ever again.

Yeah, I thought so. It's not he'll ever be in need of money for the rest of his life anyway. He should hang up his shoes then with Maccabi.
