2010/11 season signings and rumours
[quote name='ZEUS' date='08 June 2010 - 10:18 PM' timestamp='1276028321' post='21683']

Yeah, I thought so. It's not he'll ever be in need of money for the rest of his life anyway. He should hang up his shoes then with Maccabi.

haha yeah,I'm having trouble seeing Saras working as a security guard at a bank or something.

for me,as an athelete you should retire at a club that means something to you instead of a...let's say Fabio Cannavaro that want some more money so he's going to retire at some club in Saudi Arabia.

They wouldn't be able to sign anyone new after that <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />

oh well, just like me,let them have their dreams..they want him..ok well..I want a room made out of chocolate...both things aren't going to happen
True that! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

A. Macijauskas officially retired.

V. Spanoulis might join Olympiacos.

Lithuanian prospect J. Valančiūnas might be another addition of Olympiacos (He will play in Rytas next season anyway).

V. Chomičius is a candidate for the head coach of Žalgiris.
Did Macas play anywhere after Oly?

What happened with their court dispute? Any ideas?

His retirement was hardly a surprise to be honest <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />

Also, why haven't I noticed much talk about V-Span going to be Olybiakos in the Greek press? <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Blink' />

Rasho Nesterovic, considering to play in Europe next season

Rasho Nesterovic isn't happy with his last season in the Toronto Raptors, and is considering whether to stay in the NBA or the go back to Europe after 11 seasons in the United States. The 34-year-old Slovenian center will listen to offers from both sides to decide where to play next season.

Maccabi Tel Aviv and Stephane Lasme part ways

As expected, Maccabi Tel Aviv has announced officially that Stephane Lasme is no longer player of the team, after not picking up the option to extend him for another season. The 27-year-old Gabonese forward, who arrived to Maccabi last season from Partizan, averaged 6.5 points and 4.4 rebounds per game in the last Euroleague.

Nikola Vujcic and Scoonie Penn will leave Olympiakos

Nikola Vujcic and James "Scoonie" Penn are at the end of their contracts with Olympiakos, and won't be extended by the Greek team. The 31-year-old Croatian center arrived to Olympiakos two seasons ago from Maccabi Tel Aviv, while the 33-year-old American guard replaced Von Wafer months ago. Penn could be considering his retirement as a professional player this summer.

I wonder what would happen with Vujcic next season

I know that Maccabi wanted to bring him back..I don't know how much he can actually contribute to the team...maybe if Raduljica would end up in Maccabi he can be a good mentor for him

Unless Federman will insist to bring Vujcic to the tickets sellings, He won't come back.

yeah I kinda figured

but still...let's say the Burstein is coming back and Saras is coming back

Lasme and Wiz are out officialy, hopefully Anderson would be notified soon as well

we need 2 PG's(Saras and Scheyer?)

1 SG

1 PF(probably an Israeli one)

and 2 C(I hope that Green would end up leaving soon and we can have 2 foreign beefy centers)

all in all,6 players from this year(Eidson,Bluthental,Pnini,Limonad,Fischer,Perkins)

and 6 new ones(JUST NOT MEKEL!!!!!!!)
Again: If I understand Blatt cliams, it will be like that:

PG+Perkins+Sceyer

Richardson+burstein (Halperin)+Limonad

Eidson+Pnini

PF+Fischer+Bluti

C+Green.

Blatt's or Federman's?

cause the PG is good(if you bring Saras and not Halperin or Mekel)

Richardson...he's not for this level of basketball.

Eidson+Pnini+Bluthental(he's a 3 not a 4...for me at least)is great.

Fischer is great as a PF,finally won't play as a 5,and I hope that the 4 would be an Israeli(Lior but if not..I guess we can settle for Kadir although I am not thrilled about it).

and C..come on,we can't use Green anymore,he's washed up,when Lasme got hurt and it was down to him and Fischer he got the best opportunity ever to prove everyone wrong but he is just SO BAD!!

we need 1 Israeli as a PF and two centers, green? come on,he was average at best when he played for a really bad team in Russia so he'd be good enough for Maccabi? let's say that Raduljica is going to be in Maccabi next year..forget the fact that he's still young and inexperienced,he can't play 40 minutes every game..and then what? Green..with his back? seriously? for the past 2 years he was out with back problems for 60% of the year..and he's costing us 1M dollar a year..that's just some first class BS right there

Ljetuvos R GM Vainauskas said Spanoulis and Duda Ivkovic are the first Olympiakos moves for the new season. Valanciunas will be the next!!!

I think this is going to make the difference. Duda, Ivanovic and Pianigianni are the coaches that can beat Zeljco. I think Obradovic won't leave Panathinaikos, he has no reason to. We'll see...
Spanish media suggests that Real Madrid will bring Rudy Fernandez and Ramunas Siskauskas.
Can Siskauskas really play with the big guys? I mean,two-three years ago he was one of my favorite players no doubt about it,but it seems like he..kinda lost it since

Even today, Siska is the best SF in Europe.

Yeah you're probably right

I'm just trying to convince my self that the Spanish clubs won't be as good as they probably will be
Obradovic for 2 more seasons in Pao.

Because the PAO related sports press wants to squash the story.
