I really don't get why he waited so long if he was going to leave Greece anyway? Maybe he just wanted to skip training camp and then now that his kid is born he just wants to skip changing diapers?
Anyway, maybe this will help keep him fresher for the rest of the season. I am interested to see how he does because in Rytas he should get a big role I would think. Is Saras going to play at shooting guard?

He'll play as he thinks he should play I think <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' /> He never was a typical point guard, so it's basically not that important to give him his clear position. I don't know how good he still can be, but I know it will be one damn school for ValanÄiÅ«nas (waiting for these pick and rolls) and GeceviÄius (Å aras is one of his idols).

Great signing. Wonder why he rejected Zalgiris and Rytas earlier in the season.

He waited for PAO's answer during the summer. Then I guess he waited until his child got a little old before leaving Greece(probably with his family). He is a great player and Lietuvos Rytas is lucky to have him!

Panathinaikos want to bring Nikos Zisis back to Greece. As soon as possible. Great news.

They want, but I doubt if Siena let him leave.

They will, for the right money. He isn't playing as well as they expected and is costing 800K euros. He is also unhappy because McCalebb plays too much. And Panathinaikos needs a guard. So good recipe for a transfer.

I am sure that Olympiacos will also try to get him them. They need a replacement for Papaloukas. i don't see them just letting Zisis go to PAO like that, when it is clear that PAO's weakness is at backup point guard.

According to Jonas Vainauskas, Saras will have to leave Rytas if the club does not qualify to the Top 16 as he would become too expensive.

I don't think it's true. It doesn't make any sense. Caja just released Rancik and Haislip is back.
