2010/11 season signings and rumours
Fenerbahce could land Marko Tomas next season

Fenerbahce could be close to sign Marko Tomas for the next season. The 25-year-old Croatian forward would join the new coach Neven Spahija to the Turkish team after a season in Cibona. The economical situation of his current team would allow Tomas to move to Turkey, when would also join another Croatian player like Roko-Leni Ukic.

Milovan Rakovic could be the first signing of Montepaschi Siena for the next season

Milovan Rakovic could have reached to an agreement with Montepaschi Siena to play in the Italian team for the next three seasons. The 25-year-old Serbian center, who has played this season for Spartak St. Petersburg, would replace Benjamin Eze in the roster of Montepaschi. Rakovic has averaged 15.4 points and 6.4 rebounds this season in the Russian Super League.

This is pure bullshit by his agent, Raznatovic.

Panathinaikos got the option on Pekovic for next season for 1.7m euros. He is only free to go to NBA.
If I remember right when PAO attained Pekovic he signed a 3 year contract at 4.5 million euros net income, at 1.3, 1.5, 1.7 per season. PAO paid Partizan a 2 million euros buyout to get him and set his buyout for the NBA at 1 million euros. However, they set his buyout for a European club at 5 million euros. I am pretty darn sure this was stated when they got him.

So I believe that Pekovic has a 5 million euros buyout for European clubs. Of course there is no way that Real Madrid will ever pay a buyout like that for Pekovic.
More with Pekovic:

http://www.as.com/baloncesto/articulo/ni...sbal_1/Tes

Basically says Houston Rockets and Pekovic working on a deal at $5 million US (gross) per season. Rockets are said to be interested due to Yao Ming's injury problems.
First of all none of us can know exact numbers as in europe they are given officialy by the clubs.

I remember the exact same salaries for each year and the 1mil buyout for the nba. But i don't remember anything about a european buyout after the second year. Peko has a 3-year contract with pana and an nba opt-out after the second year afaik. But no buyout or 5mil buyout for europe is the same anyway so why bother. And of course pana would never negotiate to drop the 5 mil euro buyout if it exists (which nobody can know).

In any case, i think peko has a contract with an nba optout, so he's either a pana player or nba. All the rumors about him moving to another euro club are bullshit imo.

Pekovic buy-out from Partizan was 500K euros [link]. He only has a buy-out to NBA this summer. If he chooses not to go his contract will be automatically renewed.

There is no 5m release clause to a European team.
Respect and thanks for everything:

Alvertis, Bodiroga, Jasikevicius, Radja, Wilkins, Vrankovic, Fotsis, Rebraca, Kattash, Gentile, Koch, Middleton, Kutluay, Rogers, Papadopoulos, Becirovic, Tomasevic, Siskauskas, Pekovic, Lakovic, Vujanic, Chatzivrettas, Maljkovic, Spanoulis and many more to follow in the near future.

That's true. No club is going to pay a 5 million buyout. But I do seem to remember it being mentioned that he had such a buyout for European clubs. I might be wrong, but I seem to remember that being mentioned when he joined PAO.

It does not matter though because Real Madrid would never pay that, even if it did exist.

I don't believe that buyout from Partizan is correct. I remember reading 2 million euros.

Tal Burstein is back to Maccabi.

Hendrix (Granada) is the main candidate to the C position.

Macvan or Kaseje are the keaders to the PF.

Stipcevic is one of the candidate to the PG.

Some minutes ago I was going through 2009/10 signing thread and saw your post of Burstein going to Spain and wondered how he is doing... <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Unsure' />

Great move on Maccabi's side to bring back Tal..but Hendrix for C? he's a PF..I hope that he won't really sign for Maccabi as our main C(oh god...him and green? THE HORROR!!)

and I really hope that Macvan would sign as well but who is Kaseje?

Hendrix is more C then PF.

He'll fit more to play with Macvan.
Here is news about Rok Stipcevic

Quote:The arrival of Jamon Lucas is getting harder for Maccabi, as the economic demands of the American player, last season in Maroussi, are also getting higher. The Israeli team is considering an alternative for Lucas, and a candidate could be Rok Stipcevic. The 24-year-old Croatian guard has played for KK Zadar during the last season, averaging 16.1 points and 4.0 assists in the last Croatian league.

He's 2.06(same as macvan)I know that it's not everything but..someone has to be in charge of the rebounds,Fischer..fine he's good at that but...two players under 2.08 and Yaniv 'strainer hands' Green..I just can't see Maccabi controlling the rebounds like that

ohh!! you wrote his name wrong twice XD it's Marko Keselj

don't know him either...I wonder if he's really that good to be in Maccabi

Just saw his stats and some youtube videos..he's like a SF stuck in a PF' body

really good shooter but at 2.07 he's a really bad rebounder
