Israel BSL signings and Rumours 2010/11
#21
Hapoel signed Sean Williams, former Net. As a Nets fan I know him really well, and I was sad to see him released from the team. Basketball wise he's an NBA talent, but he needs to get his head on straight. Hopefully he avoids major issues with Hapoel.

Hapoel in the 2nd Div. You mean "Migdal".

No, I mean Hapoel. The team you're talking about has a parking lot for an arena.

Could be a good addition for them, as long as he comes motivated and doesn't play as horrible as he did in the top 16

Lol why were there stories about him in Slovenia?

And if he comes to Israel the Galil or the Gilboa areas aren't the right places to find what he's seeking <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' /> he should find a team in Tel Aviv or another city in the center of Israel <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />

The 24 year old Nate Miller from Megido/Yokneam dropped a bombshell yesterday. the G/F told American media he's going to sign a long-term contract with Yellow Powerhouse Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv.

Miller stated that he would go out on a loan for his first year. possibly to a Eurocup or EuroChallenge team. If a team of this Caliber won't be found,Miller would play for one of the Israeli teams in the Loto League, stating:''I'll be happy to play for an Israeli team. I'm enjoying life in Israel.''

As said,Megido/Yokneam became Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv's feeder club in the summer of 2010 and Nate Miller could be the first player to be promoted in this collaboration between the clubs.

Does anybody know something about this?

I read an article about it a few days ago in sport5's website but since then I didn't see anything about the guy and Maccabi.. It's very interesting indeed, also from what I've seen he has quite nice numbers but you can't really tell from a guy playing in the 2nd division, especially cuz in 2nd division the number of foreign players is 1/2 (can't recall now)so the foreigns gotta be good and they're the main players which could lead to great numbers of not-so-great players.

Anyway, could be interesting but right now I have a serious doubt whether this statement has anything to do with reality.
