Quote: Bauermann officially FC Bayern coach
It was known for a while that FC Bayern Munchen is aiming at creating a top-level basketball team and that German NT coach Dirk Bauermann would be the Head Coach and now it is official as the club announced.
Bauermann is currently in the preparation phase of the German NT, but as he said he is excited for the challenge that lies ahead of him after the World Championship in Turkey.
FC Bayern will be playing in the Olympia Eisstadion that has a capacity of about 1900, fulfilling the requirement of 1500 set for the second league in Germany.
The club is aiming to be promoted to the first league the upcoming season and raise their budget to become one of the top teams. The new project finds great support from the fans as over 75% voted for it in a poll held among 23.000 fans.
If FC Bayern really stick behind this project, something really interesting could turn out. I don't think money should be an issue for them.
