Maccabi Tel Aviv 2010/2011
#61
Even tho I'd really want Macvan to join Maccabi, it kinda smells like another lie from the Israeli media (and I hope I'm wrong)
#62
Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv has reached a fundamental understanding with Milan Macvan

Richard Hendrix could move on loan from Maccabi Tel Aviv to Baloncesto Fuenlabrada

Maccabi offerted a two-year extension to Doron Perkins but he wants to wail till the end of the season to talk about it

Of course he wants to wait. some very lucrative offers could be waiting for him. But i think he knows he will not be as successful in another club
Schwach wie flasche leer
#66
I think that he'll stay with Maccabi. Maccabi is one of the best in Europe so why should he leave? There will lucratieve deals for him but Maccabi will offer him the best. I think he could be succesfull at another club. he ain't a bad player.

Does anyone know more about the situation of Jeff Foote? Is he still a Maccabi player?

What are Maccabi's plans with him

He's still a Maccabi player (at least as far as I know) he plays on loan for Melilla, in the 2nd league in Spain. I'm not sure what are Maccabi plans for him in the future but it doesn't seem very good, I think Maccabi will try to get rid of his contract in the end of this season unless Blatt has some special plan for him, cuz he isnt too impressive when he plays now too.. 7.9ppg, 7.1rpg for 23mpg in the 2nd league in Spain..

I guess Blatt can make mistakes too. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' />

You're right. I just asked because I was curious what was happened to him. I didn't liked the transfer and I didn't understand why Blatt wanted him. I think that Maccabi will let him go next season because they can get better players than him
#70
I have watched him in college and he had impressive skills for a 7-footer. There was a possibility about him joining Lukoil Academic after Kaspars Kambala left but Lukoil signed Bruno Sundov instead of him which is a dumb decision if they really had the possibility of getting Foote. Sundov hasn't been quite good in the games so far.

what's your impression from him from the games you watched when he was in college? Do you think the problem is that he's simply not good enough for Maccabi or maybe he's just having some hard time adapting to European basketball?

I didn't get a chance to watch him play too much when he was in Maccabi.. Even in preperation games he didn't get playing time
#72
I think it's hard for him to adapt to the European style of play, mabe he needs a little more time

Chuck Eidson and Doron Perkins in talks to extend their contracts with Maccabi. But for the moment the negotiations are unsucessful.

#74
Maccabi gave Perkins a new and improved contract offer to keep him in the club till 2013, the guard said "I'll consider it and answer soon"

Also, Pilsen and Real Madrid are interested in Eidson which is going to finish his contract after this season, Maccabi are also looking to keep Eidson, Eidson said "I'm very happy here and I don't look at these things in the middle of a season, we'll see what's gonna happen"

#75
I think Eidson will stay at Maccabi next season unless Real Madrid and Efes Pilsen give him a contract proposal he can't refuse.
#76
Well according to what they say here the main reason he didn't extand his contract yet is that they can't get an agreement in the money issue, while Real Madrid is known last years for a team that money's not an issue for them..
#77
Eidson would be a loss for Maccabi. I hope he will accept the offer of Maccabi. But like you said MaccabiTA Real Madrid won't look at the money they give the players what they ask just to get them away from there club. But it would be interesting because Real Madrid is already thinking about a SF/SG
#78
Well I think there's a pretty big chance Eidson would eventually decide to stay in Maccabi, I mean the money difference is probably not too big, and he is connected to the team, Blatt really apriciates him and sees him as an important part of the team for the next years as well, he has great connection with the team mates and he's already part of a successful team so I don't think that a player like Eidson would decide to move for a little more money

so I think that as long as Maccabi gives him a decent offer he will chose this option over moving to a new team.
#79
So what's all this I read about the Maccabi players VETOing the team's participation in the Adriatic League?

Veto? Not exactly. Walla (not a very reliable site when it comes to Maccabi) said players are not happy with this possibility, but that's pretty much it..
