Quote:The first events of the next basketball season, the draws for the 2010-11 Euroleague, Eurocup Qualifying Rounds and EuroChallenge, will be held on Thursday, July 8 at the Mediapro Auditorium, Imagina (Av. Diagonal 177) in Barcelona, Spain.
For the fifth consecutive year, the 2010-11 draws may be seen live on Euroleague.net. Immediately after the draw, fans can also see live-streamed interviews on Euroleague.net with Euroleague team coaches and managers giving their impressions of the draw results.

Fairly balanced groups. Group A seems to be the most equal. Caja Laboral and Maccabi are probably the favourites there but all of the teams have chances to qualify for Top 16.
In Group it seems that Olympiacos, Real Madrid and Unicaja should take the top three spots but probably it won't be so predictable.
Rytas got an interesting group. On one hand they have three very strong teams in their groups (Barca, Siena and Fenerbahce). On the other hand they should be able to finish at least fourth above Cibona and Cholet. Every win against the top teams will be crucial.
CSKA and PAO will fight for the top spot in Group D. Will Vujosevic be able to beat Obradovic again now with a stronger team? Efes Pilsen will have big ambitions but will they be able to deliver?

In the other side, you can go home, if you won't build good roster.

I find it quite hilarious that they put Maroussi, a top 16 Euroleague club as a THIRD seed in the qualifying round.

They supposed that Maroussi's performance last season was only a spark and that it wont happen again. I would love to c Maroussi back in th EL! But, that wouldn't change anything. Next year, it would be even worse...

Actually EL changed the seeding rules and is now counting the team's performance in Euro Cups of the past 3 seasons, and not just last season as it was before.
Otherwise Partizan would be seed 1.
