I am a youth coach 14u, relatively new to lacrosse (4 years), and I have some kids that are experimenting with tennis racket tape. (The thick grippy tape you use on tennis rackets.) One of the better players started using it (I don't know if he saw it on TV or what) so thereby others thought it was cool and from one practice to the next 6 players showed up with it on their stick. Common sense tells me you wouldn't want something that thick going up 8 to 10 inches from besttenniscompanion the bottom of the stick. I see the point of a big butt end to pull on when shooting, but would this mess with the feel and being able to slide the stick on dodges, hand changes, etc.? thoughts? opinions?
