2010 FIBA World Championship Is Rigged
#1
I can't believe anyone is watching and following this crap. The games are so blatantly rigged and fixed. FIBA wanted US-Turkey in the final from the start and the refs made sure it happened. Both teams got 80-20 reffing in their favor in every game they played.

FIBA has turned into a sham and is now just as big of a joke as the NBA is. I am done with FIBA. I'm not watching it anymore. Strictly European club basketball for me, along with NCAA from now on.

I really believe that fans should demand an investigation. It is as if David Stern is now running FIBA. The whole tournament was as fake as the NBA is. This tournament is an absolute disgrace. The pathetic thing is that in all the American basketball forums, boards, and blogs, all the NBA fans are so enamored and interested all of a sudden for the first time ever in this tournament..........

Because they finally get to see FAKE NBA style mafia soap operas instead of actual sporting competition. I swear the whole NBA and it's fan base is like a plague on the entire world of sports.

How many times did Turkish players ask for unsportsmanlike fouls? <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' />

How many times did Onan go to start a fight?

I can't believe it. They were yelling and screaming at the refs, and they should have been ejected from the game! Had these been any other teams, such a performance would have been technical foul upon technical foul! o_O

Just imagine Turk plays and US Coach K in the next game. They will average 50 death threats each probably to the refs. The Turk players and the US coach............from any other team these clowns would have been suspended already.

It's a joke in itself mentioning Turkey in the world final of basketball. Them winning the gold? That just takes the biscuit <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' />

But that's typical of ones who can't take criticism. You don't need to post pictures of yourself to put your point across <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' />

I thought that helping certain teams to win tournaments was a thing of a (bad) past. But it seems that some things never change. At least in certain environments (countries). That's just sad.

It's all down to money. Haven't you heard of officials from the Olympics, FIBA, FIFA, FINA committees receiving big payouts from countries fighting to host the upcoming sports events of international competition? Everybody has their price, some lower, some higher.
