The guy apparently has issues. Last year in WC he refused to enter in a game as a sub after Kazlauskas asked him to... he continued this behaviour this summer too...

Respect and thanks for everything:

Alvertis, Bodiroga, Jasikevicius, Radja, Wilkins, Vrankovic, Fotsis, Rebraca, Kattash, Gentile, Koch, Middleton, Kutluay, Rogers, Papadopoulos, Becirovic, Tomasevic, Siskauskas, Pekovic, Lakovic, Vujanic, Chatzivrettas, Maljkovic, Spanoulis and many more to follow in the near future.

I actually got to watch the whole last match we played against Italy. We had too many chances to make the game ours, but didn't take advantage of any of them. However we are not as weak as perhaps some might like to think. I was pleasantly surprised with Mavroidis presence on the court, I think he needs to come in for much longer minutes, he has as much hustle as Kaimakoglou, but is useful because he is bigger in size and has good quickness on his feet. I hope he gets to prove his worth soon enough <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Why is half the national team named Kostas or Kosta? Bloody hell, are 40% of Greek males named Kostas?

It's a historic name... most probably all modern Kostas etc take their name from Roman emperor Constantine I, who founded Constantinople.

Heh heh, it's an attributable feature in most countries buddy <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

It's like most women in Spain being named 'Maria', or an unfeasable number of Austrian males named 'Klauss', etc. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Laugh' />

I'll pose a question to you guys for the upcoming Olympic pre-qualifier in July. Who out of the newer players that trekked to Lithuania for euro 2011, do you want to see back in the blue and white jersey in July?

I'll throw out some names. Papanikolaou, Bramos, Koufos, Vasileadis, Calathes, Kaimakoglou..I think with a little more work and minutes for their respective clubs, they will be a great combination and will definitely click with the incoming experienced players that were absent during this tournament.. I like them, they looked solid, though a little inconsistent at times, but ultimately I was impressed.

Anyone with some feedback on this???

I didn't like Bramos at all.

Well, Calathes, Koufos and Papanikolaou in my opinion should(and they will) have a guaranteed place in every year's national team!!! They are the greatest young -Greek- guns!!! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' /> <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

In my opinion, Vasileiadis should get another chance and I think he'll be much better if he has alongside of him a great and experienced playmaker like Dimantidis(we wish he comes back!) and Spanoulis. They can get him open with their passes and their ability to read the game which means that he can have many open shots!! What more can he ask?!! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

In Bramos and Kaimakoglou cases, I think that their presence on the team depends on what players are available each year!!!

I think Bramos will play many more times in the national team, especially if we don't have a good production of players in the next few years.

Kaimakoglou is sportsmanlike, I respect that, but I think he's a role player. As we saw this year, he can't cope with bigger roles in the team.

Next year, I believe we'll have one more PF available and Kaimakoglou will have a role he can cope with!!! In that way, he'll be more productive, in whatever he does and at the same time more useful to the team! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
