Another great game by Maccabi, I must say I wouldn't think even in my dreams that after the first game in Spain Maccabi would finish first, and 2 games before the group stage ends.. Blatt deserves all the respect for what he has done.
Maccabi was simply too good for Partizan in Thursday but I hope for this team that they will get better as the season continues.
I think that one of the more interesting details about this game was that Maccabi's Israelis played more minutes and scored more points then Partizan's Serbians <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mellow.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' /> even if you don't count Blu and Sharp who are.. semi Israelis. (even tho Sharp's probably more Israeli than me <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' /> )
Maccabi played without Hendrix when the only legitimate center to substitute sofo was Green <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' /> speeking about sofo, he looked somewhat depressed, which is kinda weird. I think what shows the best how much the 14 pts difference lies is the fact that in the entire 2nd half the commentators in the Israeli TV talked about sofo's mood.. but I trust Blatt with him, he's the best coach for this big man, he's a players' coach and I'm sure he'll know what to do.
Now looks like the best time to bring another big man, since Maccabi has alot of time and 2 Euroleague games that doesn't really matter to help him fit in the team.

Big Sofo is not known for his consistency... nothing surprising...

I know about that but what was surprising is that the team had a great game, he wasn't bad and he had quite a good mood so far and it looked like everything was fine, it like came out of no where

I will not be suprised if Maccabi lose game against Khimki and get revenge against Partizan. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=' ' />

Nah I don't think it will happen, I mean even if Maccabi will lose than it won't be to get revenge.. From how I know Blatt and current Maccabi players' spirit, I think they would keep fighting anyway, though it might be possible that Blatt will try some new things and use these 2 games as "practices" in higher level than garbage time in Israeli league which is where he usually tries new things and changes.
The biggest problem that Maccabi could have is that alongside with Hendrix, Burstein and Green are also not 100% fit.. but it's good it happens now and not later on the season.
