Proud Panathinaikos and Diamantides (as in British English) fan!!!

Only PAO and Zeljko could pull this off tonight!

Congrats to Pao fans, really great to see someone break Barca.

To be honest after the first game I expected Barca to finish it a few minutes before the end but Pao showed what they're made of. Now I expect OAKA to be a green volcano.. Good luck beating Jordi's favorite son!

Btw how were the refs in the 2nd game?(from as neutral point of view as possible)

They were 51-49 for Barca, which is a great deal when you play vs Barca away, in a game of such importance.

But even so, Barca coach and players and their official website bitched about the refs... I guess they expected 60-40 as usual...

Even the game refs knew the scenario... in a time out with mics on the head ref was telling the other two guys "LETS STAY CALM, NOT BUY INTO NAVARRO'S FLOPPING"...

PAO never commented the first game refereeing via their official website and also PAO GM officially denied the presence of a spying camera below a towel that Barca put during PAO's training (which is 100% true story by the way) because they didn't want to spoil their relationship with Barca and look like crying babies looking for excuses.

But I guess that's the difference between a team with 5 STARS ON THEIR JERSEY and a loser mentality, flopping, cheating team like Barca...

PROUD TO BE PAO FAN. NEVER CRY, JUST TRAIN AND WIN. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> even if we lose the two games in a burning over-capacity 20K OAKA.

Spying cam? Barca really got that low? :S

it's surprising the refereeing was normal, I just hope Jordi won't send his 'man for special missions' Luigi to OAKA.

How awesome would it be to see the final four in Barcelona (that got there in a not very fair way) without the home team? <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' /> ahhhh flop-free final four.

jordi will not allow final four without barcelona. just because they play at home. sad but true. or not. whatever. we will see which refs is he going to send to oaka. but i expect barcelona to win at least one game and then confirmed final four at palau blaugrana.

They were a little bit more objective than the first game, let's say 60-40.

My predictions for the final four teams are:

Panathinaikos(we can do it no matter where the f4 takes place) <1-3>

Olympiacos(i believe that Siena will fight until the last second but will lose, probably in the 5th match) <3-2>

Valencia(without Messina they can't make it in this stage) <1-3>

Maccabi TA(Caja is a crazy team but i think that Maccabi will protect the home advantage) <1-3>

I'm not a supporter of PAO, but at the same time I'm not against them doing well in the Euroleague or Olybiakos for that matter either.

Lakovic isn't a bad player, but I've seen him many a time be an unreliable player at crunch time, whether at club level or national team level. I don't think his loser moniker is just made out of spite.

EDIT: I just saw that most teams competing in the quarter finals won't have any games to play in their respective domestic championships? All except Barcelona who is 'forced' to play an away game with TDK Manresa? That sounds really weird, tiring out the team before playing another two matches of extreme importance against PAO? This will definitely give PAO an even greater advantage, just to run Barce into the ground <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />

Navarro another technical for flopping... how low can someone go? <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thudown.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Hold your horses <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Cool' />

Btw, I find it really pathetic that a player of such calibre as Navarro is, resorts to utter bullshit desperation to get calls in his favour. The first basket of the game was scored by PAO thanks to his stupidity. The technical just crowned it really.

I was shocked at Rubio's shooting?! WTF, I've never seen him 'shoot the lights out' with four treys in the game? That was most uncharacteristic of him being the usual shooting brick that he is <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rofl3.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rofl3' /> Lakovic was on good shooting form today, but still, at crunch time you know Pascual is always going to trust Navarro and not him to make the clutch shots. Sada wasn't really much help to the team at all, stupid foul after stupid foul. Vazquez had a good game, but ultimately fluffed things up missing Barce's last chance at equalizing the score in the last moments. Ndong was just like his surname, just with the 'N' removed, he got owned in the game, with Batiste's block on him being the cherry on the cake.

From PAO's side, everybody was playing really great, Nicholas making some great tough shots, Batiste really bashing up Barce's big men, and there wasn't much they could do to stop him. It's really great to see Kalathis being a much more organized point guard now who's capable of LOADS more comparing him to how he was last season. Looks like Maric isn't capable of giving anything to the team currently, if PAO makes it to the F4, then he'll need to show how ready he's become since his injury. Tsartsaris was really gritty today, really doing the dirty work, and of course Batman got some long range shots in, after all, he is also Hellas best shooter too <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Biggrin' />

This was a great game that PAO richly deserved to win. With this psychology, only if PAO is afraid of its own self, can the F4 ticket be lost to Barce.

Great win for PAO(!!!) in a great match between -in my opinion- Euroleague's best teams. I'm happy with this huge win but I know that this win means nothing if we don't win on Thursday. <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Unsure' />

I was in OAKA(unofficially there was much more than 20.000 people) and I have to say that the atmosphere was even greater than PAO-OSFP(olympiacos) game for Greek league!!! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Congrats to Pao fans, surprisingly now Pao stand in a point where I'd say they're actually the favorites to win the cup this season. Not obvious favorites and nothing's done yet in the series but you get what I'm saying, most chances to win the cup among the teams that are leading the QF series.

It was definitely better, because there wasn't the usual violence bullshit by fans that we see in all Greek domestic games, in almost all Greek arenas.

Nevertheless, nothing is finished until it's finished.

By the way, Diamantides left his body and soul at the court, once more, last night..

I think Barce is getting punished as a team overall about their incessant bitching about the refs. When they have provocative ref favouritism, then it's alright. Rubio was making bitchy comments yesterday that Navarro "deserves more respect from the refs". Fishing for favourable calls from the refs is definitely NOT the way to go. This is quite a surprising side about Barcelona whining non-stop like the prima donnas they take themselves for. Perhaps they should be looking at why they can't score enough in the paint when it matters most, other than expecting Lakovic, Anderson, Navarro, or Morris to make the shots. Rubio's accuracy yesterday from trey land was sheer fluke <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/crazy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Crazy' />

It's not just Ricky. Even grown up veteran like Lorbek asked for refs' help... they have taken it to the enxt level, they don't ask same treatment, they ask for favouritism...
