MVP of the season?

Who do you think will be the MVP this season? I think Derrick Rose is most deserving of that title...

Haven't watched any games this season, but everyone are talking bout them and Chicago got a good record, so yeah, Rose.
Respect and thanks for everything:

Alvertis, Bodiroga, Jasikevicius, Radja, Wilkins, Vrankovic, Fotsis, Rebraca, Kattash, Gentile, Koch, Middleton, Kutluay, Rogers, Papadopoulos, Becirovic, Tomasevic, Siskauskas, Pekovic, Lakovic, Vujanic, Chatzivrettas, Maljkovic, Spanoulis and many more to follow in the near future.

I agree, it's got to be Rose. Durant is the runner up in my opinion.

1. Derrick Rose

2. Dwight Howard

3. Kevin Durant

4. Dwayne Wade

5. Russell Westbrook(his numbers are sick)

6. LeBron James(I think he's leading his team in assist. I've seen him get 7-8 on good nights)

7.Amare Stoudamire

It's got to be lebron... How the cavs tanked this year without his services speaks volumes <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Derrick Rose deserves it more than anyone. He led Chicago Bulls expertly to the ultimate home court advantage by having the best record in the NBA. The more important factor, though, that makes hm the #1 contender for the award is that he did that despite the many injuries of the 2 starting bigs, Boozer and Noah.

He carried his team alone on most of the season, he definately deserves it!!

GO BULLS!!!!

*milestone 1: Rose drained 128 3 pointers in this season. Jordan's season best was 111!!! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mellow.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Mellow' />

**milestone 2: Rose led his team to the best record in NBA on his 3rd year in the league, Jordan made it on his 7th season(and he had Pippen).

***I'm not trying to compare these two, Jordan will always be the best, just... for the record!!!! <img src='http://www.talkbasket.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Derrick Rose

Here are interesting facts about Rose's MVP season:

* The youngest NBA MVP in history. He was born on October 4, 1988, making him 22 years and 7 months come Wednesday. He supplants 1969 winner and Hall of Famer Wes Unseld by roughly five months. Unseld also won the Rookie of the Year at that time.

* He ranked seventh in scoring and 10th in assists, making him the only player this season in the top 10 in both categories. The only other Bulls player to do that was Michael Jordan in 1988-89, when he led the league in scoring (32.5 points) and finished 10th in assists.

* With averages of 25 points, 7.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds, Rose became the seventh player in NBA history to post averages of at least 25 points, 7.5 assists and four rebounds in a single season. He joined heavyweights Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James.

* The fifth player and first point guard to post 2,000 points, 600 assists and 300 rebounds in the same season joining elite company in Robertson, Jordan, James and John Havlicek.

* The first MVP winner since Dave Cowens in 1973 to win the award without receiving one vote the previous year.

* The first third-year player to win the award since Moses Malone in 1978-79.

* He joins Jordan, who won the award five times, as the only MVPs in franchise history.

* Led the Chicago Bulls to league leading record of 62-20. Their 60+ wins was the Bulls' first since the 1997-98 season and sixth 60+ win in the team's franchise history.

Rose definitely should have won the award this season. But in hindsight and taking into account the post-season, it looks like Dirk is the guy. His team is deep and has a ton of experience, but Dirk makes that team run

I completely agree. Rose was clearly the MVP going into the playoffs so the award was given to the correct player, but Dirk has been unbelievable in the playoffs. I cannot wait to see Dallas get their revenge on Miami.
